We so enjoyed ourselves at your villa. Everything we could possibly need was at our fingertips. Felt like home. Beautiful island and Trunk Bay was stunning. Thank you Nancy and John.

Another wonderful stay at GBTS!!! We recently visited St. John and had the pleasure of getting to know CW and Marcia...wonderful hosts! This was our third stay at GBTS and as always...it was absolutely perfect. We are already looking forward to another trip next year. We often just sigh at the thought of sitting on the veranda watching the sunset. Ahhh...
Thanks for adding to our memories!

A little piece of heaven! We truly enjoyed our stay at the Villa with our 2 boys (5 years, 2 years) during the week of Christmas. Everything about the Villa is perfect. From the kitchen, to the living area, to the screened in porch and the patio with a pool to call our "own" for the week. The peace and quiet was an added blessing. No distractions! Thank you for all you have done for our family!

Dear John and Nancy,
This glowing review should have been written months ago so I apologize for the delay.
Scotty and I could not have been more thrilled with our stay at Garden By The Sea in June 2009 during the week that we were married. You helped to make our stay on St. John so enjoyable, from John's endless array of info about the best bits of the island, to Nancy's sumptuous breakfasts - that even my husband got out of bed for! You took such care to make sure that we have everything we needed and more, and we completely fell in love with Garden By The Sear. Your warmth and hospitality added so much to the most memorable week of our lives and we will always be so thankful to you for that.
We can't wait to return and hope you both (and Zach!) are well.
Much love,
Mia and Scotty Mitchell.

Your villa was simply gorgeous. Our whole family loved it, from our 20 yr old to our 80 yr old! Great location and perfect for our family get-together. Just as we were getting used to the hills and driving on the left we had to leave. Can't wait to come back!

I know this is a bit late in coming, and I apologize--but the memories are still vivid.

My husband and I stayed in the Terrace View Room for a few days in November of 2006. We had the very best time under your care; I don't think any other place could've been nicer, more friendly, more relaxing. It really was like a home away from home--but, wow, in the Caribbean. We miss the taste of coconut and lime and get postively wistful whenever we think of our time there. We hope to come back some day! Wave

We spent 2 weeks at the villa over the holiday season. What a beautiful place! Perfect home, close to town and access to Rendezvous Bay. Who could ask for anything more? Nancy and John were available when we needed them and were very helpful. Definitely a place we plan on visiting again. Thank you for everything........ it was a vacation of a lifetime!

My husband and I stayed the week of Christmas and had a wonderful time. There is not one thing I would have changed about this trip. John and Nancy were perfect hosts. My husband and I are looking forward to returning as guests, hopefully soon.

We stayed at your wonderful B&B in April and had the time of our lives! St. John has to be the most beautiful place on earth and GBTS was the icing on the cake. Karen and Ibro were the most gracious hosts we could have hoped for. Only there when we needed them, not obtrusive; but full of invaluable information when we asked. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will be back again next year with our friends.

We had the most fabulous time at GBTS. We were so comfortable in the Wild Ginger room, and the entire place just promotes the most wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for letting us sleep late and still have a breakfast (and coffee) to come to, and for providing us with the reality escape we so desperately needed! My only regrets are we couldnt stay longer, and I wish I could take the shower with me... blessings and thanks Karen! (we WILL be back! and maybe this time, we'll see you before the third day! :-)

We had a wonderful time at the Villa - my sister and brother and me, along with our respective significant others. The place was just like the pictures, and quite comfortable. Nancy and John were VERY cordial and so helpful! We've been planning next year since we got back to Texas! beautiful, beautiful...

We stayed in the Wild Ginger room when Anne was there (hi, Anne!). We too had a fabulous time, and didn't miss TV at all. Maybe there could have been a DVD player, but I read two books instead. We borrowed snorkel equipment from our hosts, and hiking chairs, and went off in search of underwater life every day.

Our hosts were wonderful. A fount of information whenever we asked, and none if we didn't. The honor bar was a great touch. It made us come home earlier every night because the drinks at the B&B were cheaper than in town! The breakfasts were scrumptious, and were made even better by the company of various wildlife on the veranda. A wonderful place.

We have just gotten home from our wonderful vacation/honeymoon on St John, where we stayed in the Terrace View room. It was wonderful! It was a beautiful place, nicely located near town, and with gorgeous views. The hosts were quite pleasant, very knowledgeable and helpful, but not at all intrusive. We were very happy with our choice to stay here and are already making plans for our next visit.
The B&B had everything we needed and nothing we didn't (we didnt miss tv all week, even though we are news junkies). The beaches and scenery on the island were wonderful and awe-inspiring and we had great meals every day, both at the Garden by the Sea and at local restaurants.

Dear John and Nancy,
Just wanted to touch base and thank you again for the wonderful time we had at your place. As we told you before, we have been wanting to come to St. John for almost 30 years. We were also looking for a quiet place far from any "mega-resorts" and Garden by the Sea proved to be the perfect place. We have been sighing ever since we returned home...no more beautiful mornings spent on the deck looking out over the pond with cup of coffee, the best smoothies on the face of the planet...and no more Eggs Benedict or wonderful homemade muffins. We had wanted and needed this vacation to be a relaxing one, with no set itinerary, and it turned out to be exactly that. The setting was beautiful, the location excellent, within walking distance of the best restaurants on the island and your hospitality was wonderful. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou,
Paul and Polly Neldner of La Veta, CO Love

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on St. John. Everything about Garden By The Sea contributed to a perfect vacation. John and Nancy were the perfect hosts. Our experience would not have been as special without them. Our advice to anyone considering St. John: Do it and if you want a lovely, intimate, convenient place to stay, stay with John and Nancy. Other advice: St. John is a fun place. Lots of beautiful beaches, hiking, restaurants, live music, great snorkling. All things considered, St. John was also an excellent value. Garden By The Sea is the best location on the island. It is a short walk or invigorating hike to town depending on which way you go. It seemed like we were on our own little island and in the heart of Cruz Bay at the same time. For the most flexibility definitely rent a car. This will also end up saving money, too. From snorkling to snow shoveling was a tough adjustment. We definitely plan a return to Garden By The Sea, hopefully soon.

Thank you, thank you thank you for this glorious 10 day vacation. Nancy, waking up to your delicious breakfast, your beautiful smile and sparkling eyes made this paradise even more glorious.John, we appreciated all of your "island"advise,(given even when Nancy disagreed!) Your suggestions about beaches, snorkeling, restaurants etc. were all very helpful. The B&B is beautiful and your warmth and hospitality made this one of our best vacations. Hopefully, we'll see you again next year. carole and harold
